medMindcare is a specialized clinical encounter system that is designed to provide a reliable and function-rich information system to help providers assess, manage and treat patients and document clinical encounters, treatments and results. It supports both inpatient and outpatient records. The overall goal of medMindcare is to provide clinicians, staff and medical administrators with powerful, easy-to-use tools that safely and securely assist in obtaining and using patient information - no matter where it may reside in the clinical enterprise.  The system is designed to integrate and work with medEncounter or it can be deployed as an independent solution, like medEncounter, at a single facility or in a distributed clinical setting.  Some of the benefits of implementing an electronic clinical information system include improved clinical performance, lower costs, and greater business efficiency.

medMindcare is a provider-designed application suite design based on advanced computer medical informatics.  It is a powerful information system that is based on following the natural work-flow for mental health and substance abuse caregivers. The system utilizes the same look-and-feel integrated design as medEncounter with mouse point-and-click operation and a browser-based user interface.  medMindcare is a standalone design that has it's own unique specialty encounter system and utilizes medAnalyze and medDataSafe for database and decision support operations. The system is designed to be a point-of-care patient encounter system, a caregiver documentation system, a management system, a decision support system, a research system and a teaching system.

Typically the medMindcare information system would interface with the billing system (and others) and supports the billing process by capturing and documenting billing events.  The system associates billing codes (e.g. ICD-9, etc.) and emits to the existing billing system.  Providers use medMindcare to process professional billings.
