All orders can be entered in one unified entry screen. Each individual order can have a unique subscreen associated with it that allows the provider to enter order-specific information necessary for the ancillary to process the order. The radiology order subscreen above is an example of entering order-specific information. This information includes things such as pertinent patient history, specimen collection information, order status, etc. Orders can be found by selecting them from a pop-up menu or performing a keyword search. Order sets, protocols, and verbal orders are supported. Conflict and duplicate order checking take place when the provider attempts to store the orders. |
